We publish over 150 new titles a year in the following areas:

Humanities and Social Sciences

With market leading lists, most notably in Politics and Social Work, and an unrivalled range of authoritative major texts - both classic and new - across the humanities and social sciences, our aim is to serve the international academic and professional communities with learning materials of the highest standards. Alongside continued expansion of our long-established lists in Literature, Language and History, new publishing programmes in Psychology and Counselling/Therapy, and Health Studies epitomize our commitment to anticipating and meeting market needs.

Business and Economics

Palgrave Macmillan Business publishes some of the most successful, influential and innovative business and management books by leading international authors. Our publishing focus is upon a programme of major undergraduate and postgraduate texts, designed to meet the needs of students and lecturers internationally.

Computer Science, Engineering and Mathematics

Our engineering and built environment lists span the whole range of engineering disciplines, from building and surveying, through civil, structural, mechanical and manufacturing engineering to electrical engineering and electronics. In computer science we are developing innovative new series, including the Grassroots – core modular texts for undergraduates - and the Cornerstones of Computing for more advanced courses. Our mathematics publishing is lead by Engineering Mathematics by Ken Stroud – one of the best-selling textbooks ever!

Languages

We publish the well-regarded Breakthrough Language Series, which caters for Adult Education language learners and self-study learners, the highly successful Foundations Languages series which is aimed at non-specialist language learners at university studying on a non-accredited Institution-Wide Language Programme, and the Mastering Arabic mini series.

Law

The Palgrave Macmillan Law Masters offers modular law texts for undergraduates in all of the core subject areas.

Cross-disciplinary Publishing

The highly successful and widely used Palgrave Macmillan Master Series provides short, accessible and reasonably-priced texts spanning the levels from GCSE to Undergraduate. The path-breaking Foundations Series is aimed at Access/Foundation and introductory courses in subject areas ranging from the natural sciences to economics, history and literature. The Palgrave Macmillan Study Guides help students to tackle all of the subjects for which we publish.
