The Macmillan Group has all the advantages of a large, international company in marketing, distribution, finance and purchasing, but we act as a network of independent publishers, united in our commitment to quality publishing. As an independent company we can be more creative, flexible and responsive than the huge conglomerates. Palgrave Macmillan has a common identity of interests with the authors and organisations with whom we publish. The growth of our business depends on our ability to build long term author and customer relations.
At Palgrave Macmillan we strive always to support our authors as effectively and efficiently as possible and are committed to building the best possible relationship with you. Our aim is to be your publisher of choice.

What Palgrave Macmillan offers its authors
Author discount - authors are entitled to a discount on all Palgrave titles.
Within Palgrave Macmillan there are two divisions which publish different types of books. They are the College division and the Scholarly and Reference division. The type of book you plan to write will affect which division will publish your book; who it is best to contact with your proposal and some parts of the actual publishing process. Within this area of the website we have tried to clearly highlight any differences.
College
In the College division we publish higher education text books. This includes authored books and edited collections. Our primary market is core text books used by university students at foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate level, as well as students in further education, professionals and practitioners.
