Booksellers - PubEasy

Account holding customers are able to use the PubEasy Online Ordering and Enquiry service. Set up by Macmillan Distribution Ltd in collaboration with Vista and Whitaker, the site aims to provide our customers with a high level of customer service and fulfilment over the Internet.

The PubEasy web site is for booksellers, wholesalers and trade account customers throughout the world and allows you to perform the following functions:

1. Enquiries: Online searching of the MDL product file for all our publishers' titles by Title, Author, ISBN, Publisher and/or Subject Codes to obtain up-to-the-minute information on pricing, stock availability and alternative editions and bindings. Future links to publisher sites for more detailed title information are planned.

2. Ordering: Once a title has been located by enquiry search, the customer may order it or add it to a 'shopping basket' of selected titles for later review and order confirmation. Alternatively a fast ordering method requiring only the entry of an ISBN and quantity is available where speed is important. Optional acknowledgement is available on the screen or by return E-mail.

3. Order Query: Customers can search our data files by ISBN and/or Order Reference to determine the current status of their orders, including delivery dates and signatories.

4. Dues Management: Customers can search and display records of outstanding dues in a number of permutations. This may be extended in the future to allow them to cancel or amend the quantity of their back order.

5. New Title and 'Specials' Promotion: Lists of grouped titles can be displayed and used as an order template or for providing bibliographic information.
