A Woman’s Place is in the Boardroom: The Roadmap

Stephen Rutt and Ria Purser from Palgrave Macmillan attended the launch of, A Woman’s Place is in the Boardroom: The Roadmap by Peninah Thomson and Jacey Graham with Tom Lloyd at the Library of the Reform Club in London on Tuesday 3rd June. This is the sequel to their earlier book, A Woman’s Place is in the Boardroom published in 2005.

Approximately 240 people attended including a number of CEOs and members of Boards of FTSE 100 companies and 110 copies of the book were sold.

Speeches were given by Meg Munn, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Foreign and Commonwealth Office; Mairi Eastwood, Managing Partner of Praesta; Lorraine Heggessey, Chief Executive of Talkback Thames; Dominic Casserley, Managing Partner of the UK & Middle East offices of Mckinsey and the authors.

The book published on 20th June 2008.


Palgrave Authors Named in ‘top 25 thinkers’

Four Palgrave Macmillan authors have been named amongst the 'top 25 thinkers' in Human Resources (HR) magazine: Ranked 5th was Cary Cooper, Professor of Organizational Psychology and Health at Lancaster University Business School, ranked 17th was Adrian Furnham, Professor of Psychology at the University College London. Chris Brewster, Professor of International Human Resource Management at Henley Management College was ranked 19th and Paul Sparrow, Professor of International Human Resource Management at Lancaster University Business School was ranked 22nd.
