Film Guide

Films are a really exciting way to learn about OB, as they provide examples of behaviour and situations to discuss and opportunities to apply the theories you have learned to ‘real’ situations.

This area of the website is designed to offer you ways of exploring OB through film. For each chapter of the book, a film or TV series has been suggested, together with questions for you to consider and notes on how it relates to OB.

You may find it helpful to watch the film in a group with some of your fellow students, then discuss your responses to the questions asked – there’s nothing like a heated debate to get you thinking!

For more film-based learning activities click here to navigate to some bonus OB in film features, which accompany selected chapters in the text.

If you are interested in finding out more about the links between film and organizational theory, take a look at Emma Bell’s insightful book on the topic: Reading Management and Organization in Film. This book is available as part of a Bratton and Bell Bundle which includes the second edition of Work and Organizational Behaviour.
