Notes on the Authors

Dilek Cetindamar is Professor at the Faculty of Management and the Director of Competitiveness Forum, Sabanci University, Istanbul, Turkey. She conducts research in the area of entrepreneurship and technology management. She has been a visiting scholar in several US and European universities. She has published many books and journal articles and was the recipient of the Encouragement Award from the Turkish Academy of Sciences.

Robert Phaal is based at the Centre for Technology Management, part of the Engineering Department at the University of Cambridge, where he conducts research in the area of strategic technology and innovation management. He has industrial experience in technical consulting, contract research and software development, and has a PhD in computational mechanics.

David Probert is Reader in Technology Management and founder of the Centre for Technology Management at the University of Cambridge. He teaches on the Manufacturing Engineering Tripos, and his research interests are in technology and innovation management. His earlier industrial career was with Marks & Spencer and Philips Electronics.
