About the author

Damodar Gujarati is a best-selling textbook writer with 42 years of teaching experience. Author of Basic Econometrics (McGraw-Hill, 5th ed.), Essentials of Econometrics (Mcgraw-Hill, 4th ed), Government and economics (McGraw-Hill), his books have been translated into several languages including Spanish, Chinese, Turkish, Indonesian and Korean. He has also published several articles in leading economics and statistics journals. He has held visiting Professorships to leading universities in the UK, Australia, Singapore and India. Currently he is Professor Emeritus of Economics at the US Military Academy, West Point, New York, USA.
