Honoring the Legacy of Robert Elgie, Founding Editor of French Politics

We continue to mourning the tragic loss of this journal’s founding and lead editor, Robert Elgie in August 2019. The Political Science community has done much to honor his legacy. At the journal, in our December 2019 issue (17/4) we had a special tribute section and we will be co-sponsoring a roundtable that will discuss the contributions Robert made to a broad swathe of political science research, through the French Politics Group, at the upcoming APSA meetings this Fall. We hope to publish the proceedings of the roundtable in a future issue of the journal. The presidential studies group at the International Political Science Association Meetings will also be holding a special panel in honor of Robert’s contributions to scholarship in this area https://wc2021.ipsa.org/wc/panel/memory-robert-elgie-semi-presidentialism-and-presidential-power.
