The search function can be used to search for a particular book in the Palgrave Macmillan title database which contains over 12000 titles. There are many ways in which you can perform a search, depending on what information you have about the book(s) that you are looking for. Please note that punctuation marks should not be used when entering your search terms.
The search function ignores common words and characters such as "where" and "how", as well as certain single digits and single letters, because they tend to slow down your search without improving the results. Palgrave.com will indicate if a common word has been excluded by displaying details on the results page below the search box.
There are two types of Search:
Quick Search - simply enter your keywords in the search box above
Advanced Search
This field allows you to search for titles using multiple criteria, ISBN, keyword, author name and title.

When using the subject classification, please note some selections may contain 0 results. If this occurs please widen the search criteria.
Titles are now grouped by work, meaning that paperback and hardback (as well as ebook, cdrom etc.) editions can be viewed together. Once a search has been performed click on expand all to view title details, or click on the title to view title details.
Filter you results, using our search filters on the right-hand side of the page, filter by title, author, price, pub date and subject to return a narrower set of results based on your preferences.

Palgrave supports the logical "OR", "NOT" and "AND" operators. To retrieve pages that include either word A or word B, word A but NOT word B, word A AND word B, use an uppercase OR, NOT and AND between terms. For example:
to search for a title about politics but not history related, type politics NOT history
to search for a title about politics and history, type politics AND history
to search for a title about politics or history, type politics OR history
You can use several of the search fields together. For example you might want to search for books by a particular author in a particular year. If you want to do this then use the Author and Publication Year fields.
Example: English Politics
