Michael Moran is Editor-in-Chief of Renaissance Insight, the thought-leadership arm of the global investment bank Renaissance Capital. Based in London and New York, Moran writes on and forecasts geopolitical and economic trends for the bank's clients and is author of "The Reckoning" blog on Slate. Libya

Libya Since 1969Dirk Vandewalle, author of Libya Since 1969, is currently in the UK and is available to provide comment on developments in Libya. Vandewalle teaches in the Government Department and at the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. He is editor of several books and edited volumes on Libya and North Africa, and is writing a manuscript on the economic emergence and prospects of the Arab Gulf countries, based on research from a Fulbright Regional Research Award in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries. He has written numerous articles on economic development issues in the Arab world and received, in addition to two regional Fulbright research awards, a Social Science Research Council Award for advanced research in Morocco and Yemen. Defeating DictatorsDr. George Ayittey, author of the upcoming book Defeating Dictators is available to provide comment on the death of Gaddafi. George Ayittey was named one of Foreign Policy's Top Global Thinkers in 2009 and is an advisor to the Obama administration on forging a new path for Africa. He is the author of Africa Unchained, Africa in Chaos, and Africa Betrayed, which won the H.L. Mencken Award for Best Book. Ayittey has written for The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, and The Times of London, among others, and has appeared on such media as ABC Nightline, PBS NewsHour, and CNN. Nick Kochan, author of Corruption: The New Corporate Challenge is available to provide comment on bribery issues.

Nick Kochan is a leading British authority on organised crime, corruption and money laundering. He is the author of The Washing Machine, an important overview of money laundering in a global context, looking at money laundering practice, its relation to global and corporate practice and abuse. Kochan has lectured on corruption to the Oxford University department of sociology as well as to UK government agencies. Kochan is also the author of books on a number of instances of economic crime, such as The Guinness Case (1987) and The Bank of Credit and Commerce International (1991). He has also written a biography of Gordon Brown, the former British prime minister. Kochan advises companies on corruption risk and on fraud. He writes for many publications, including the Financial Times, Observer, The Telegraph and Wall Street Journal.

Theodore Pelagidis and Michael Mitsopolous, authors of Understanding the Crisis in Greece: From Boom to Bust are available for interviews and to write articles on the current Greek economic and political situation. As the tensions in the Greek economy take centre stage in the international headlines, this book examines the working of the Greek political system and the way it relates with the Greek society. It investigates how and why Greece is just the first country to suffer this Western debt crisis.

Michael Mitsopoulos is Co-ordinator of Research and Analysis at the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises, Greece. He has previously worked in the Greek financial sector and has held governmental positions. He has taught as an appointed lecturer at the Economic University of Athens and the University of Piraeus.
