The English Language and Linguistics list features an exciting and expanding programme of books at all levels. Catering for academics, lecturers, graduate and undergraduate students alike, our books range from the latest research monographs to accessible student textbooks.
At undergraduate level we have a growing reputation based on two successful series. Perspectives on the English Language is an innovative series of textbooks for the English language student where three ‘core’ books together form a system of information about the English language. Textbooks in the Palgrave Modern Linguistics series provide carefully graded introductions to a topic in contemporary linguistics, leading readers with no previous experience of the topic to some understanding of current issues.
At a higher level, our Scholarly and Academic division is strengthened by several well respected and innovative series. The books in Palgrave Advances in Linguistics focus on subjects that are of current critical importance within Linguistics. The Editors have a strong feel for exciting developments in their field and bring to the reader’s attention the most rewarding work on the topic from active and forward-thinking researchers. Further series include Research and Practice in Applied Linguistics, Language and Globalization, Palgrave Studies in Minority Languages and Communities and Palgrave Studies in Pragmatics, Language and Cognition. For more information on any of our series, please browse through the series section.
We welcome all ideas for new books and have provided guidelines for submitting proposals to us in the Authors section of our website. To discuss project ideas and proposals please contact either Priyanka Pathak in the Scholarly and Reference division, or Kitty van Boxel in the College division.
