Foundations of Nursing Practice:
Making the Difference    2nd Edition
A resource site for lecturers and students of nursing

About  this site

This site is designed to provide support and resources for all users of the second edition of Hogston & Simpson: Foundations of Nursing Practice, whether lecturers organising their first year teaching around the book, or students using it while studying pre-registration nursing courses at diploma or degree level.

The site is divided into two areas, for the lecturer and student. While some sections of the lecturer zone are designated for exclusive use by adopters of the text and are therefore password-protected, users are invited to explore all other areas of the site as they please.

About the book

Foundations of Nursing Practice: Making the Difference has been thoroughly revised and updated to cover all the subject areas and issues that make up the new 12-month Common Foundation Programme. With its clear structure and range of interactive features and learning activities, this practice-focused text demonstrates clearly how knowledge can be applied to practice. It provides a thorough introduction to the common foundation skills and knowledge required by first year students, and will continue to be a popular key text that students will return to throughout their training and careers.
