Simon Anholt is announced as the 2009 winner of the prestigious Nobels Colloquia Prize for Economics Leadership.
Simon Anholt is announced as the winner of the 2009 Nobels Colloquia Prize for Economics and Management Leadership. The jury for the award, now in its ninth year, consists of ten Nobel Laureates in Economics. Anholt recieved this award due to his pioneering work on understanding and managing the identity and image of nations, cities and regions; and the impact of reputation on their prosperity and competitiveness. Through his concepts of ‘Nation Brand’ and ‘City Brand’, Anholt has acquired a global reputation. Also Anholt’s theory of ‘Competitive Identity’’ forms the basis of this research and of the advisory work he has carried out with the governments of more than 40 countries during the last 15 years.
Simon Anholt is the author of two successful books Competitive Identity (2006) and Places (2009).
