Description

Land Law expertly strikes a balance between depth of coverage,
comprehensiveness and accessibility in providing a clear and concise
introduction to this rich area of the law. Using accessible language to
illustrate the key concepts needed to understand land law, it focuses on the
underlying principles to map conveniently onto undergraduate and GDL courses in
the subject. Learning is supported by summary boxes, diagrams, exercises and
further reading, and further enhanced with an interactive web site containing
test banks and quizzes, audio files summarising key issues, real world scenarios
and animated illustrations. In addition, case updates will be provided to remain
abreast of new developments in law.

This sixth edition contains new
material on Home Information Packs, further updates arising from the Land
Registration Act 2002, and changes to the area of mortgages from the Financial
Services and Markets Act 2000, and Consumer Credit Act 2006. In addition the
significant developments in the areas of implied trusts and proprietary estoppel
will be considered and new case law will feature throughout.

Mark Davys is Teaching Fellow at Keele University specialising in property law,
having previously practised as a solicitor.

Joe Cursley was Senior
Lecturer in Law at the University of East London. He taught land law for many
years, as well as employment and contract law.

Kate Green was formerly
