VERONICA COULSHED, sometime Head of Applied Social Studies at the University of Sunderland, UK, was the original author of Management in Social Work, and also wrote the highly successful text, Social Work Practice, now in its second edition under the co-authorship of Joan Orme.
AUDREY MULLENDER is Principal of Ruskin College, Oxford, UK. She was previously Professor of Social Work at the University of Warwick, UK. She has been Editor of the British Journal of Social Work and has produced well over a hundred publications in the social work field, including over a dozen books.
DAVID N. JONES was formerly Assistant Director Operations for the Central Council for Education and Training in Social Work, and before that, General Secretary of the British Association of Social Workers, UK. He is currently a government adviser on service improvement.
