Palgrave Foundations Languages is the first language series to be written specifically for the institution-wide language programmes (IWLPs). These programmes teach languages to non-specialist undergraduates, that is engineers, historians etc. studying a language in addition to their main degree subject. A new native speaker author joins the team. The Foundations Languages Series is designed to cover the two semester year, with in-built supplementary self-study material. The series is tailored carefully to the needs of IWLP students, though is also used increasingly in the Adult Education sector. This is a complete beginner's course. Digital audio is also available to institutions. Tapescripts are available free on request. The audio for the first edition is not 100% compatible with this new edition.

This is a post-beginner's course, and follows on from the highly successful Foundations Spanish 1. Two cassettes are available with a site licence included in the price. Digital audio is also available to institutions. Tapescripts are available free on request.
