Q. I get bounced back to a login screen when I enter my username and password

You must configure your browser to accept cookies:

The site uses session cookies to allow continued access during one session. If your browser is not configured to accept cookies, you will be bounced back to the username/password page. To configure your browser to accept cookies, see below;

In Netscape: Go to Edit > Preferences > Advanced > check "accept all cookies"
In Internet Explorer: Go to View > Internet Options > Advanced > check "always accept cookies"

If you are getting pages repeating themselves

If you are getting pages repeating themselves when you have requested a new one, you will need to alter your cache settings:

In Netscape: Go to Edit > Preferences > Advanced > Cache, and choose "every time".
In Internet Explorer: Go to View > Internet Options > General > Settings, and under "check for newer versions of stored pages" check "every visit to the page".

Q: I can't access the companion website/online product


Have you registered for access?

Until we receive your registration details and any changes that you have made are approved, we cannot give you access to the site. To register - click here . Also you must request access to a companion website in addition to registering on the site.




Q: I get an error message when I try to log in
Error messages:

When logging on to the site, are you receiving any error messages such as:

"An error has occurred - Page Not Available" - Occasionally, our server becomes overloaded due to heavy traffic and you will receive this message. This is only temporary - the site is usually back in service within an hour or so.

Further you may receive an error page stating that there has been an application error. This is usually due to duplicate records in our database. Please contact us if this occurs.



Q. Is there any reason your account might be on hold?

In some instances we will put an account on hold whilst we validate your details. This should not take any longer that 24 hours.


Q. How do I request access to a Companion website

1. Ensure that you are registered on Palgrave.com. If not, you can register here

2. Once registered, you can login here to access My Palgrave.

3 Select 'Request access to our Companion websites' from options available

Once you have selected the required Companion website you will be taken to a page listing all available Companion websites, there are three types of website available (General, Lecturer Sites, Premium Lecturer Sites). Certain types of companion sites (Lecturer Sites, Premium Lecturer Sites) require authorisation from Lecturer Services as they are restricted for use of either Lecturers teaching the subject or, for some sites, only to those Lecturers who have confirmed that they are using the book on their course. Authorisation can take up to one working day or more. You will be notified by email when you are granted access to the site. You can then access the Companion website directly from the link in the email

4. To access your Companion websites we recommend that you access them from this page (Access my registered Companion websites) where you will be presented with a list of your registered sites: e.g.

  • Patterson - An Introduction to Econometrics
  • Taylor - Business Statistics
  • Guirdham - Communicating Across Cultures

Q. How do I request access to an Online product website

1. Ensure that you are registered on Palgrave.com. If not, you can register here

2. Once registered, access this page (you will need to be logged in).

Once you have selected the required Online Product from the page click 'Submit request', Once you have registered your details and requested access to the Online Product a member of our orders team will contact you to take payment details (we do not yet allow online ordering for Online Products), once payment details have been taken access will be granted via an email. This should not take any longer that 48 hours

3. To access your Companion websites we recommend that you access them from this page where you will be presented with a list of your registered sites: e.g.

  • Foundations Spanish 2 MP3s - 1403988331


Q. I cannot see my existing Module information or outstanding questionnaires

When you initially register, any previous contacts you have had with the company will not appear on your account.We will check all new records a within one working day of registration and will add any previous records to your new account, at this point all of your previous module and questionnaire details should be visible.


Q. I cannot change my University or Department.

Please email lecturer services (link) to inform of a change of University or Department.


Q. My address as confirmed to me on the confirmation of despatch does not include my Department & University.

When we check all new records we will automatically add the department & University to the address.


Q. I am trying to order an Inspection Copy on line but there is only the option for Purchase

Not all books are available on the Inspection Copy service - check that the title you have selected displays the Available on ICS symbol on the catalogue page. If the title displays the symbol but still doesn't give the option to order on ICS please contact lecturerservices@palgrave.com as it may be there is a problem with your account.


Q. I am not in the UK, Which countries do you deal with?

Palgrave Macmillan works closely with sister divisions within Macmillan and more widely within the Holtzbrinck group. Q. I cannot view MCQs on Companion websites

We advise that as a minimum requirement that you use at least Internet Explorer 5.5+, Firefox 1.0, Netscape 6+, Safari or Mozilla to access our site.
