The number of websites on the internet is mind-boggling - and is increasing exponentially. The following is a very short list of sites which you should find particularly useful whatever level you are at in your studies.
- Guide to Philosophy on the Internet
Peter Suber's 'Guide to Philosophy on the Internet' is probably the best and most comprehensive compilation of sites devoted both to individual philosophers and to various fields of philosophy. His site also includes a built-in search engine for philosophy (currently undergoing revision). - Erraticimpact
This philosophy research base performs a similar function to Suber's. It is also useful in that it includes bibliographies.
For general reference the following site is recommended:
The Stanford Encyclopaedia of Philosophy. This is by no means yet complete, but contains many excellent articles by professional philosophers. - www.philosophersnet.com
The Philosophers’ Magazine - American Philosophical Association
- The Australasian Philosophy Network
- Philosophy in Cyberspace
- Philosophy of Religion
