The Palgrave Global Sociology Prize
Undergraduate students are invited to submit a 3,000 word essay based on the themes of any of the chapters in Global Sociology.
A prize of £100 worth of Palgrave books will be awarded to the best essay or £50 worth of Palgrave books each to the best two essays in any one year. The winning essays will be posted on this site.
The judges will be Robin Cohen and Paul Kennedy (the authors of this book) and their decision will be final.
The Winner(s) will be permitted to designate themselves
‘The Palgrave Sociology Prize Winner, followed by the relevant year’. Winners may also wish to record their achievement on their CV or resume.
We are particularly keen to encourage entrants from Asia, Africa, Oceania, Latin America, The Caribbean and the Middle East but all entries will be judged on a common standard.
