This book presents the results of a new comparative research project on the trajectories, motivations, perceptions and attitudes of young members (aged 18-25) of 15 different European political parties in the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Norway and Hungary. The project combined a mass survey of 2919 young party members with 517 in-depth interviews.

About the authors

MICHAEL BRUTER is Senior Lecturer in Political Science at the London School of Economics and Political Science, UK, where he is also creating a new structure for research in electoral psychology. He has published books and articles on elections, public opinion, political identities, extreme right politics, political psychology and social science research methods, including Citizens of Europe? and Encyclopaedia of European Elections (edited with Yves Déloye).

SARAH HARRISON is Research Officer in Political Science at the London School of Economics and Political Science, UK, where she is also involved with the creation of a new structure for research in electoral psychology. She has published broadly on extreme right politics, party politics, elections, and political psychology.
