The recent centennial of the original publication of Sigmund Freud's The Interpretation of Dreams has generated a new wave of critical reappraisals of this monumental work. KELLY BULKELEY is Lecturer in Religious Studies at Santa Clara University. He is the author of several books on dreams, including Visions of the Night: Dreams, Religion, and Psychology and An Introduction to the Psychology of Dreaming. He is Senior Editor of the journal Dreaming.
