About this book
Reviews
“Both adaptation of the book for a university classroom and its translation into Russian are highly commendable. … this work presents a rich theoretical superstructure for multiplying ethnographic studies of racism in Russia. … The book … can serve as a good theoretical launch pad for such research.” (Mikhail Suslov, Slavic Review, Vol. 75 (2), Summer, 2016)
“This careful and thorough analysis of racialization is an important contribution to current scholarship. Zakharov draws on a wide range of literatures and sources and has advanced our understanding of processes ofracialization in Russia within the broader context of global racialization.” (Jennifer Suchland, SEER Slavonic and East European Review, Vol. 94 (2), April, 2016)
