About this book
A broadly based introduction to high frequency and microwave engineering that covers all the important topics in this field. With the recent expansion in mobile communications and the increasing use of the microwave frequency bands for these wireless applications, attention has become focused on this area.
While the treatment is from first principles, due emphasis is placed on practical applications and a number of design examples are included to support the theory.

About the authors
S.R. PENNOCK took his first degree at the University of Liverpool and then completed his PhD at the University of Bath where he is now a senior lecturer. His current research interests involve work at UHF, microwave and millimetre wave frequencies and he is the author of more than 40 papers.
P.R. SHEPHERD took his first degree at the University of Sheffield. After a short period working as a process engineer, he returned to academic research to gain his PhD in microwave oscillator design. He joined the University of Bath in 1986 where he is now a senior lecturer . He is the author of more than 60 papers and Integrated Circuit Design, Fabrication and Test (Macmillan Press, 1996).
