SEYMOUR DRESCHER is Professor of History and Professor of Sociology at the University of Pittsburgh. He has taught at Harvard University, Carnegie Mellon University, and the Graduate Center at the City University of New York, where he was a Distinguished Visiting Professor in 1986-87.
