About this book

They cling to the crumbling mores of the old order, unsuccessfully and with tragic consequences.

About the author

DALIP KAUR TIWANA (1935) is a leading Punjabi novelist. She is now retired from her post as Professor of Punjabi at Punjabi University, Patiala.

S.C. NARULA and BHUPINDER SINGH have translated this novel from the original Punjabi. Professor Singh publishes poetry under his pen name Sarvan Minhas; Dr Narula is Reader in English at the University of Delhi and is also a translator and poet.
