Jason A. Helfer is Deputy Superintendent of Teacher and Leader Effectiveness for the Illinois State Board of Education. After serving as a classroom teacher in Illinois and in Texas, he worked for over a decade in higher education, serving in a variety of roles as a faculty member and administrator.
