East Asian Community Review explores international and transnational relations, current economic and cultural issues as well as historical and social problems, with a special focus on one of the world’s most dynamic regions, East Asia.
The journal welcomes any appropriate contributions related to promoting regional cooperation and integration and intends to provide a global forum for scholars working on various perspectives in transnational issues as well as community-building initiatives in East Asia. These may include the ASEAN Plus Three and the East Asia Summit, along with alternative, non-conventional forms of international and transnational initiatives that exist beyond national boundaries in East Asia.
East Asian Community Review is an official journal of the Asiatic Research Institute, published for the East Asian University Institute (EAUI), an academic consortium comprising Korea University, Nanyang Technological University, Peking University, Thammasat University, and Waseda University.
COVID 19 and impact on peer review
As a result of the significant disruption that is being caused by the COVID-19 pandemic we are very aware that many researchers will have difficulty in meeting the timelines associated with our peer review process during normal times. Please do let us know if you need additional time. Our systems will continue to remind you of the original timelines but we intend to be highly flexible at this time.
