About this book
Reviews
“Shawn Tucker has written a lively and accessible meditation on humility, and his book explains why this description is not an oxymoron. His argument that humility is dedication, commitment, and submission moves beyond a simple pride/humility dichotomy. Tucker explains how humility is a virtue not of weakness or humiliation but of strength without hubris and moral and spiritual worth grounded in commitments greater than ourselves. This suggests that pride is the confidence that emerges from these commitments, which highlights the importance of choosing our commitments carefully.” (Brett G. Scharffs, Associate Dean and Francis R. Kirkham Professor of Law, Brigham Young University Law School; Director, International Center for Law and Religion Studies, Brigham Young University, USA )
