About this book

The Palgrave Encyclopedia of Strategic Management has been written by an international team of leading academics, practitioners and rising stars and contains almost 550 individually commissioned entries. It is the first resource of its kind to pull together such a comprehensive overview of the field and covers both the theoretical and more empirically/practitioner oriented side of the discipline.

Reviews

While Strategic Management is taught and researched at leading business schools worldwide, it is still an emerging field with loosely defined concepts, boundaries, core definitions, intellectual foundations, applications and new avenues for research. Herein lies our inspiration for The Palgrave Encyclopedia of Strategic Management: a desire to help shape the field and its literature and make it more accessible to both academics and practitioners. Defining keywords, explaining core terms and mechanisms and outlining research agendas are all steps toward a better and more rounded understanding of the field – thus also aiding its future development.'
