About this book series
The 'Global Research in Gender, Sexuality and Health' book series brings together original, forward-looking research to unpack health, illness and care through the lens of gender and sexuality. The series showcases new research – both empirical and theoretical – from around the world which addresses health and healthcare issues in both the Global North and the Global South. It aims to bring to light how gender and sexuality influence illness experiences and healthcare encounters in local, national and cross-national contexts. We welcome new knowledge of health and care driven by the increased global mobility of bodies, of illnesses and healthcare professions.
This interdisciplinary series seeks to showcase original research monographs and edited collections of interest to an international readership.
Series editors: Ellen Annandale, University of York (UK) and Xiaodong Lin, University of Warwick (UK).
