About the authors

JULIO LÓPEZ received hisBA in economics at the Universidad de Chile. Later, he took hisPhD in economics in Poland, where he studied with Michal Kalecki. He is currently Professor of Macroeconomics at the graduate department of economics, Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico. He has been invited Professor at the Universidad Autonoma de Barcelona, Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales, Paris; and Universidad Federal de Rio de Janeiro.

MICHAËL ASSOUS is currently Assistant Professor of Economics (Maître de Conferences) at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and member of PHARE (Pole d'Histoire et de l'Analyse Economique). His research fields are the history of macroeconomics, business cycle analysis and income distribution.
