About this book series

This series publishes groundbreaking work on a broad range of topics relating to citizenship, gender and diversity. It promotes a feminist definition of citizenship, encompassing issues of equal rights, recognition and belonging in various socio-economic, cultural and political arenas. We welcome submissions from scholars around the globe, working on these topics from a range of theoretical and empirical perspectives, particularly with an international, cross-national, or comparative focus. Rooted in the former EU-project FEMCIT: Gendered Citizenship in Multicultural Europe, this well-established series promotes an intersectional and multi-dimensional approach to studies of gendered citizenship and diverse claims of contemporary women's movements.
