In this video Jay Pastrana and Juan Battle discuss their research, Debunking the Myths around LGBT People of Colour, the perpetuation of stereotypes, and what they hope the publication of their research will accomplish.

Their three books, examinations of Black, Latinx, and Asian and Pacific Islander LGBT Populations across the United States, use personal narratives and survey data to explore the diversity of experiences across communities within the United States. Additionally, the authors document and celebrate many of the everyday strengths and strategies employed by these populations to navigate and negotiate their daily lives.
