About this book

The aim of this book is to capture, the international thought and practice of Kenneth W. Thompson. His career embodied three roles in which he revealed his thoughts and practice: as a facilitator of space for encouraging debates, scholarship and practice; as an educator; and most importantly as a theorist of international relations.

Reviews

"Farhang Rajaee's Kenneth W. Thompson, the Prophet of Norms is a long-overdue and impressive examination of the writings and theories behind Thompson's contributions to International Relations theory. It also examines the large body of scholars Thompson influenced over a prolific career. Excellent contribution to the field!" - Gale A. Mattox, Professor of Political Science, U.S. Naval Academy/Georgetown University, USA

"Farhang Rajaee has written a much-needed introduction to the life and thought of one of America's foremost Christian realist thinkers Kenneth W. Thompson. In Rajaee's highly personal and insightful narrative, Thompson emerges to take his rightful place among the great international relations theorists of the twentieth century." - Nicolai N. Petro, Professor of Political Science, University of Rhode Island, USA
