About the editors

KEMPE RONALD HOPE, Sr. is Professor of Development Studies in the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Botswana. He was previously United Nations Chief Technical Adviser to the Government of Botswana on Public Sector Administration and Management. He is author of several books including, African Political Economy: Contemporary Issues in Development, and Development in the Third World: From Policy Failure to Policy Reform.

BORNWELL C. CHIKULO is an Associate Professor of Development Studies, University of North West, South Africa and Vice President of the African Development Studies Association. He has published extensively in major international journals and contributed chapters to several books. He is the editor of Democracy in Zambia: Challenges for the Third Republic (with Owen Sichone).
