The Citizenship, Gender and Diversity series publishes ground-breaking work on a broad range of topics relating to citizenship, gender and diversity. The series promotes a feminist-inspired definition of citizenship, encompassing issues of equal rights, recognition and belonging in various socio-economic, cultural and political arenas. We welcome submissions from scholars around the globe, working on these topics from a range of theoretical and empirical perspectives, particularly with an international focus. This well-established series had its roots in the EU-project FEMCIT: Gendered Citizenship in Multicultural Europe (2007-2011), which applied intersectional approaches to studies of gendered citizenship, multiculturalism and contemporary women's movements.
